Fit you are editing
Select a fit to read and edit it. This does not add it to the request.

Import fits from a file
pyfa keeps its fits in a database, not in files. Use its Backup all fittings or export to EFT, then choose the file or the folder holding them. Fitting XML from the game works too.
Matching ships are counted across all locations. Loose stock is used for the remaining request at the chosen assembly location.
Fitted ships
Ships in your hangars, grouped by fit. The app compares the hull and the items. The ship name does not change the result.
Fit request
The ships you want to field. Select fits and enter quantities. The app counts each ship and item only once for the whole request.
The app assigns matching fitted ships first. It then uses loose stock for the remaining fits at the assembly location. Fitted ships can be anywhere.
Request readiness
Each counted ship above fills one line of the request. A ship is counted once, wherever it is.
Missing items
This list includes missing items for all fits in the request. The app combines quantities for the same item.

Set approved alternatives.
The library includes common Compact alternatives for Tech I and Tech II items. They need less CPU and powergrid. They can trade speed, range, tank or damage to make a fit easier. Edit or disable any rule for your fits. Rules apply to all saved fits.
The app compares item names and quantities. It does not check CPU, powergrid, skills, or performance. A fit can use different approved alternatives together.
Change the sample inventory.
Change item quantities in the loose stock. The app calculates the fit counts again.

EVE characters
Connect a character to load their real assets. The app counts the assets of all connected characters together. The app keeps the tokens only until you close this tab.

Filters the loose stock and fitted ship lists below. Unresolved locations can include customs offices and inaccessible player structures. This filter changes only these lists. The fit checker still uses all loose stock.
